Polar bears and the future of their species are often used in (visual) communications on how global warming affects our world. In March 2015, journalist Roz Pidcock published for Carbon Brief a profile on this topic and the threat polar bears face for survival due to a warming habitat. With this poem, I explored how a polar bear would reflect on this role of “iconic poster animal.”
