farming the wind

a knight-errand fought giants
thinking he was serving his nation
no magician as his lance tricked, the wrong location
they sipped their latte and held on to the past
the past that burned all the vast
fields of golden wheat
and rose their oceans several feet
countless battle the giants, defiant
to protect the innocent means to protect these giants
foster them as the giants will offer then
energy for all, celestial

Notes

This poem explores The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Manchathe, a book written by Miguel de Cervantes in the early 17th century, and one of our solutions for renewable energy: the wind.
