And They Left Us a Broken Planet

︎    About  •  Prologue
Our world faces a climate crisis, and the impacts are almost beyond imagination. Every aspect of our societies will be affected by the consequences of global warming. It is the defining challenge of our time.

This poetry series, And They Left Us a Broken Planet, aims to give a voice to the all-encompassing impact of climate change on our planet and human life. In 100 days, the series builds towards 100 poems all on the theme of climate change. The poems explore its diverse impacts on the environment and our societies, reflecting on our personal and systemic positions, channelling the despair felt by some, and offering hope.

The majority of the series is inspired by newspapers articles, blogs by organizations fighting global warming, research papers by scholars, and books on climate change. A brief explainer is frequently included with each poem.

I invite you to explore the consequential effects of global warming on our planet and humanity at large as addressed through my poetry series And They Left Us a Broken Planet.
