In 2021, professor Katharine Hayhoe from Texas Tech University published the book Saving Us, A Climate Scientist's Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World. She reasons that we should pay more attention to talking with other people from the heart and find common ground before discussing the climate crisis and climate action. This poem explores these ideas and mixes them with raps from the legendary rap group Salt-N-Pepa.
